If you are going to be getting a new pair of eyeglasses, we hope you come to see us at Sunrise Optical. At our vision practice, you will be able to get new designer frames in Fairview as well as choose from a selection of eyeglass lenses.
Once you have your new vision prescription, our optician will be able to discuss with you which type of lenses will work best in your new eyeglasses. We offer many different types of designer frames in Fairview, and our optician will make sure that your new eyeglass frames will work well with your new selected lens options. At our vision practice, patients are able to get several different types of lenses for their eyeglasses. We now offer multifocal eyeglass lenses which can be either progressives, bifocals or trifocals. Bifocal lenses contain two different prescriptions in them, generally one being the prescription needed for reading. Traditional bifocals do not have as wide a field of vision as do new progressive lenses because the reading glass portion has a line which delineates it for the rest of the lens. Some patients prefer bifocals because they are less expensive. However new progressive lenses can have two or even three lens prescriptions in them, and have many benefits. These multifocal eyeglass lenses are very popular because they are extremely attractive since you cannot see where one lens prescription ends and the next begins. These progressive lenses also provide a wider field of vision since just about all of the lens can be used by your eyes to see through. Additionally, no one can tell that you have reading glasses when you wear these progressive lenses. Some of our patients enjoy progressive lenses because they feel that wearing reading glasses gives away their age.
